MCA family,

I am praying for you! I began fervently praying for unity at MCA in June of 2019 not knowing how desperately we would need to band together in 2020. Let’s stay connected to one another and stay focused on our mission to share the life giving power of Jesus with the world.

God is teaching me so much this year! How exciting to think that the Lord is shaping and transforming us even more into Christlikeness. Let’s stay humble as we face these challenges together.

We could all use a good dose of encouragement right now. Tonight is our fall kickoff for high school ministry, our Sunday School will resume in September, and we are most excited about the stories of God at work in people’s lives. MCA is not a building. It is a church. And a church is a vibrant community centered on Jesus. Not programs, not events, not brick and mortar, but living, breathing individuals sharing life together and living on mission to make disciples. We shut down ONLY when we stop fruitful ministry to one another and to our neighbors.

We are not going to let silly things divide and distract us. We are not going to compare our ministry with the megachurch in SoCal. We are going to keep moving forward together, and be obedient to the Lord with what he has entrusted to us.

Thank you for the ways you have been supportive and encouraging during this time. In a world filled with anger and ugliness, let’s keep modeling grace and love.

UPDATE ITEMS

  • We are moving to step 3 in our relaunch plan on Sunday, September 13. This means adding a Sunday school hour, and nursery care during the services.
  • We will be holding a child dedication service that Sunday (Sept 13) as well. Please let us know if you would like to participate.
  • We will continue to offer two services on Sunday mornings, at 8:30 & 11AM. Consider inviting a friend to come and worship with us! We are also streaming live on Facebook Live and Youtube at 8:30 on Sundays.

If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any member of the MCA staff.
